See the best the Ganges River has to offer between Patna and Kolkata. Visit temples, mosques, forts, hot springs, local markets and many more. This trip will let you see authentic eastern India and guide you through its rich history and culture.

Suggested Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Patna

Meet your guide at the airport, you will then be transferred to Barh where you embark on your cruise ship. In the afternoon, sail to Mokameh.

Day 2: Mokameh - Sultanganj

Disembark the cruise ship in the afternoon to visit the large Mughal Fort, the Pirpahar Hill crowned by a fine old mansion, as well as the Sita Kund hot springs. Return to the cruise ship and sail downstream to Sultanganj.

Day 3: Sultanganj - Vikramshila

Sail up to Colganj in the morning and disembark the cruise ship to visit the Buddhist and Hindu cave temples and Bateshwar, then sail further downstream to Vikramshila.

Day 4: Vikramshila – Farakka Barrage

Sail down to Rajmahal in the morning (also known as Akbarnagar). In the afternoon, disembark at Raj Mahal. Later on visit the remains of palaces, forts and mosques submerged into vegetation. Return back to the ship and continue to sail to Farakka Barrage.

Day 5: Farakka - Jangipur

After breakfast, disembark and set out for a full day excursion to Gaur (Malda). Visit the mosque, temples, palaces and the local markets before you return back to the cruise ship to sail down to Jangipur.

Day 6: Jangipur - Matiari

Sail down to Baranagar in the morning, disembark the cruise and visit miniature terracotta temples. Then, sail further downstream to Murshidabad where you have the possibility to visit the Hazarduari Palace, the Katra Mosque, as well as the Nashipara Palace and the Katgola Palace. Return back to your cruise and sail down to Matiari.

Day 7: Matiari - Kalna

Enjoy a morning visit to the Matiari village and explore the primitive process of brass work. Afterwards sail further downstream to Mayapur and visit the Isckon temple before you return back to the cruise and sail down to Kalna.

Day 8: Kalna – Chandernagore

disembark the ship in the morning and explore Kalna. Enjoy a rickshaw ride to explore the local places famous for terracotta temples, also stop at the Shiva temple. Afterwards, return to the ship and sail towards Chandernagore.

Day 9: Kolkata – Airport

Disembark the cruise ship in the morning to visit the local church and the Dupleix's house, in the afternoon sail and disembark at the Kolkata Port from which you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
