Suggested Itinerary

Day 1: Male/South Malé Atoll.

You will be met by our airport representative who will transfer you directly to the waterfront to embark on the boat. Meet the captain and crew, have lunch on board, settle in, and set sail on a voyage of discovery.

Cruise south for 2-3 hours through the Vaadhoo Canal to a nearby island in South Malé Atoll; probably Guraidhoo, a small inhabited island where the plan is to moor in (or just outside) the small harbour for the first night on board.

Relax on the beach, go for a swim, have a cocktail, or read a book. The afternoon is yours to enjoy.

Snorkelling in the Maldives: The Maldives offer some of the most amazing snorkelling and marine life opportunities in the world. The shallow islands and amazing coral reefs make it a key feeding ground for many species of tropical and larger fish. 70 different species of colourful coral reefs make up the flora of this underwater city, with more than 700 species of fish and other marine life taking the role of the fauna. Snorkelling is one of the simplest ways to have a glimpse of this amazing world under the water.

Day 2: South Malé Atoll/Ambara

After a relaxed start, continue to the southernmost point of South Malé Atoll before crossing the channel to Felidhoo Atoll. The main industry here is fishing and there is typically an opportunity to see traditional boat-building on at least one of the islands. Reach the idyllic uninhabited island of Ambara by early afternoon. Enjoy the rest of the day at the beach or snorkelling the crystal-clear waters around the island.

Day 3: Ambara/Fenboa Finolhu

Cruise south for 2-3 hours, crossing to Meemu Atoll. As with the rest of the journey, we stay close to shore to enjoy the view of the beautiful islands passing by. We arrive to Fenboa Finolhu where we stay the night with plenty of time to enjoy the beach and snorkel amongst the reefs.

Meemu Atoll has 34 islands of which 25 are uninhabited. Here more than anywhere, we are likely to experience the true Maldivian way of life.

Day 4: Fenboa Finolhu/Dhiggaru

Head east towards the island of Dhiggaru, stopping along the way to snorkel on a reef, arriving in the late afternoon. Spend the evening enjoying the laid back pace and traditional way of life of the locals. With some luck, get an invitation for an evening performance of Bodu Beru, the traditional folk music of the country. Boduberu means big drum, and involves a group of men sitting around and singing to the rhythmical beat of drums till they reach a crescendo and stop abruptly. This entertainment, in conjunction with a local meal, is not to be missed.

Day 5: Dhiggaru/Felidhu Atholhu

Head back to Felidhoo Atoll and its administrative centre, Felidhoo. Take time to wander through the village and learn something new about the lives of the islanders.

When you feel like you need a refreshing moment, dive right off the boat with your mask and fins on, search for tropical fish and other marine life at a large coral reef or just take a cool dip in the crystal clear waters -- it's paradise on earth.

Day 6: Felidhu Atholhu/Eboodhoofinolhu

Enjoy the longest journey of the trip back through the islands of Felidhoo and South Malé atolls. There are plenty of opportunities to swim and snorkel or to explore the islands en route. The day's destination is Emboodhu Finolhu, one of the northernmost islands of South Malé Atoll.

Day 7: Eboodhoofinolhu/Male

In the morning, make the short crossing to Malé. The tour ends on arrival.
