Explore the West and East of Japan on this tour where you will visit one of Japan's largest temples, Todaiji Temple, get an insight into the historical background of Japan in the Atomic Bomb museum and the Peace Park at Hiroshima, and relax at the Miyajima Island with beautiful ocean views and the floating temple of Itsukushima Shrine. With a fascinating culture, a stay at a traditional Japanese Tyoken cannot be left out as well as a Japanese Dinner. Join a short cruise on Lake Ashi and you might be able to get a glimpse of Japan's largest mountain, Mt. Fuji.

For your convenience, after arriving, you’ll be met at Kansai Airport, by an assistant, who will help you transfer to your hotel.
After eating breakfast, you’ll be met by a guide, and taken by public transport to Nara, Japan’s first prominent capital. You’ll first visit Todaiji Temple (The Great Buddha – Daibutsu), and enjoy the spectacle of one of Japan’s largest temples. From there, you’ll visit the important Shinto site, Kasuga Grand Shrine. Once you’ve enjoyed the Shrine’s bright Vermillion gates, and bronze lanterns, you’ll stroll through Nara Park. You can enjoy the company of Nara’s famous Shika Deer! The day ends with a visit to Kofukuji (a five story pagoda and world heritage site).
Begin with an early breakfast. After breakfast, ensure you pack an overnight bag for your stay in Hiroshima as your main suitcase will be transferred to your Day 4 accommodation. Afterwards, you’ll travel to Hiroshima, and head towards the Peace Park and Atomic Bomb Museum. There, you’ll have some time to reflect on the realities, of the Atomic Bombing of Japan. Afterwards, you’ll visit Miyajima Island, which is known for its ‘floating temple (Itsukushima Shrine)’ and beautiful ocean views.
Once you finish your hotel breakfast, you’ll board a bullet train, bound for Kyoto. Your first destination will be Fushimi Inari Grand Shrine. This Shrine’s 4KM of red Torii gates has become an iconic image of Japan. The day’s activities continue at Yasaka Shrine, in Gion. If we are lucky, we may see a Geiko, or Maiko, as they make their way around through Gion’s narrow streets and wooden buildings. At the end of the day, you’ll return to Osaka, for your hotel check-in.
Eat Breakfast at the hotel, and then, enjoy a free day, spent at your leisure.
Your luggage will be forwarded ahead, to your Day 7 Tokyo Hotel. You’ll need to prepare an overnight bag, to keep with you. Once you finish breakfast at the Hotel, you’ll catch the bullet train to Hakone. After arriving, experience the Owakudani Ropeway and a cruise on Lake Ashi. If the weather is clear, you might be able to see Mt. Fuji. Tonight, you will stay in a traditional Japanese Ryokan, and get to experience the local Onsen, and a Japanese dinner!
You’ll leave Hakone after finishing breakfast at the hotel. You’ll take the train to Tokyo, where you’ll discover Tokyo’s Edo past. Highlights include a visit to the historical Meiji Grand Shrine. Contrasting the quiet atmosphere of Meiji Grand Shrine, the day will continue, with a trip to Harajuku’s Takeshita Street, to witness the thriving pop culture of Japan! After Harajuku, you’ll visit Shibuya, which is famous for the busy, scramble crossing, commonly associated with Tokyo. To end the day, you’ll visit Asakusa Kannon Temple and Nakamise Street.
Eat Breakfast at the hotel, and then, enjoy your last free day, spent at your leisure.
After finishing breakfast, you’ll make your way to the airport via Limousine Bus, and depart Japan. Sayonara!
